A collection of prints (in public domain) from older publications (more than 95 years ago), produced by artists in a time before high quality photography was available. These images have been scanned and offered here for a low price that primarily covers the costs of finding, scanning, labelling, and distributing them. The prints have been largely unaltered, except to repair damaged backgrounds, or (rarely) to restore an obscurred image. The original sources are listed if you wish to locate the original works and scan them yourself. You can purchase these electronic images online here. After selecting an image and purchasing by credit card, you will be taken to a page with a link to the image, which you can then download. After purchasing, you can modify and use the images in any manner desired, free of any royalties or copyright restrictions from Marine Biology Images. While we believe that all these reproductions are presently out of copyright and in the public domain, Marine Biology Images makes no guarantess against any claims to copyright brought by others.
